It started out of necessity, not curiosity. I needed money, and the only way I knew to get more of it was to actually understand where it was going and why. So I started reading — books, filings, forums, anything that wasn't trying to sell me a course. Most of it was noise. The part that wasn't noise took years to separate out.

Along the way I built and broke a few budgets, made investing mistakes that actually cost something, and read enough finance content to know most of it is either too vague to act on or written for people who already have money to spare. What I was missing was something practical — written by someone who'd actually been on the wrong side of a bad month.
So that's what I ended up building. Not theory, not a get-rich framework — the actual strategy I put together over four years of doing this the hard way, written down so it takes you a lot less than four years to use it.
